About AudJet
AudJet is a free, browser-based tool for downloading audio from YouTube videos. It exists because most other free downloaders are riddled with ads, fake quality claims, tracking, or worse.
The principles
- Honest about quality. We tell you exactly what you're getting: Opus 160kbps, AAC 128kbps, or MP3 128kbps. No fake "320kbps" or "HD audio" marketing.
- Anonymous by design. No accounts, no email collection, no tracking pixels. See our Privacy Policy.
- No software to install. Pure web app. No installer, no extension, no "helper app" that becomes a permanent part of your machine.
- Streaming proxy. Files never touch our disks. Bytes go from YouTube through us to your browser, in memory only.
- Free, with a sane rate limit. 3 requests per 10 minutes per IP. Enough for personal use; not enough to abuse.
How to use it
- Open the homepage.
- Paste a YouTube URL.
- Pick a format (Opus, AAC, or MP3).
- Click Download.
What we don't do
- Playlists. Pick one video at a time.
- Videos longer than 15 minutes.
- Live streams. Wait for the recording to finish.
- Anything that requires a YouTube login (private, members-only, etc.).
If something breaks
YouTube's anti-bot defenses evolve constantly. Sometimes downloads fail or take longer than usual. If you hit a persistent error, wait a few minutes and try again — most issues are transient. If the homepage shows a maintenance screen, something larger is wrong; we're probably fixing it.
