What's the best format to choose?

Opus 160kbps if your device supports it (modern Android, browsers, VLC). AAC 128kbps for Apple devices and most cars. MP3 128kbps for maximum compatibility.

Why not 320kbps or FLAC?

YouTube doesn't store audio at those qualities. The maximum source is 160kbps Opus or 128kbps AAC. Any tool promising 320kbps from YouTube is re-encoding the same 128kbps source — the file gets bigger, but quality doesn't improve.

Is there a download limit?
